Most patients experience mild dryness, light sensitivity, and slightly blurry vision for the first 24-48 hours -- this is completely normal.
However, you should contact your surgeon immediately if you notice: sudden severe pain, a significant drop in vision rather than gradual improvement, unusual discharge from the eye, persistent redness that worsens instead of improving, or flashes of light and new floaters.
